The Product Development Department  at CCRI concentrates on research leading to development of  new designs on Mats and Matting, Identifying new areas for application of  Coir Geo Textiles, Manufacturing new products from blended yarn of coir with other natural fibres and barks.  Innovative  products manufacturing with Coir and blended yarn in the field of handicrafts. Developing new products in the non traditional sector

 

 

Manufacturing matting with novel designs on Jacquard loom, Semi Mechanized loom and Hand Loom
Frame mats and Loom mats were produced with blended yarn of Coir with other Natural  fibres
Implementing Coir Geo-textiles projects all over India
Organising Workshops, Seminars and Exhibitions in various textile fields
